Orphanages
Baraka Africa works with orphanages in urban and rural communities
throughout East Africa to implement creative, feasible and sustainable ways to
deliver holistic care to orphaned and vulnerable children. We are committed to
replicating our model in collaboration with organizations seeking to extend the
scope of their services. We establish partnerships through the process outlined
below that includes a needs assessment, an evaluation of the organization’s and
local community’s desire to take ownership, and a review of the local
partnership opportunities that exist.
Currently, we are working with Mama Ngina Kenyatta Children’s Home in Nairobi, Kenya. Once the programs have been successfully implemented and the ongoing monitoring and evaluation structure is in place, we will extend our work to another orphanage.
